8KM Nature Hikeathon
Participants of the Nature Hikeathon @KFBG should finish the 8km mountain route by the way of four checkpoints. After finishing the designated tasks, participants can scan the chips at the checkpoints to record their achievements. The checkpoints will be set at major scenic spots of KFBG, namely Kadoorie Brothers Memorial Pavilion, Kwun Yum Shan Summit, Mountain Lodge and Jim Ades Raptor Sanctuary. The event demonstrates to participants how KFBG since its foundation by the Kadoorie Brothers in 1950s has gradually transformed its role from the Kadoorie Agricultural Aid Association (KAAA) that supported villagers to a nature reserve in Hong Kong rebuilding the connection between humans and nature.
